ContractKit is operated by Keylight Digital. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

What we collect

Contract form data. When you fill out the contract form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, city, state, your client's name and contact information, project details, and payment and revision terms. This information is used solely to generate your contract and is stored temporarily to associate it with your payment session.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your credit card number. Stripe shares with us only confirmation that your payment was completed.

Analytics. We use Mixpanel to understand how people use ContractKit (e.g., which steps are completed, how the tool is found). Mixpanel stores a cookie or localStorage value on your device to track sessions. We use this data in aggregate and do not sell or share it with third parties for advertising purposes. Captured data includes page interactions, approximate referral source, and UTM parameters if present in your URL.

Error tracking. We use Sentry to capture technical errors so we can fix bugs. Error reports may include your browser type, operating system, and a stack trace. We scrub known personal data fields (email addresses, names) from error reports before they leave your browser.

How we use your data

  • To generate your freelance contract and deliver it to you
  • To verify that payment was completed before releasing your contract
  • To improve ContractKit based on aggregate usage patterns
  • To diagnose and fix technical issues

Data retention

Your contract form data is stored in association with your payment session and automatically deleted within 7 days of the session being created, whether or not payment was completed. We do not retain your contract content after that window.

Third-party services

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. Mixpanel uses localStorage (or a cookie as a fallback) to maintain session continuity and distinguish unique visitors. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your data or ask what information we hold about you by emailing support@keylightdigital.dev. Because sessions are automatically purged within 7 days, in most cases there will be nothing to delete by the time a request is received.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
